Este domingo comenzará la Conferencia Mundial de Ciencia de Israel, WSCI por sus siglas en inglés, y tendrá lugar en el campus de la Universidad Hebrea.
Entre los participantes se encuentran los Premios Nobel israelíes Arieh Warshel (Química, 2013), Dan Shechtman (Química, 2011), Ada Yonath (Química, 2009), Robert Aumann (Economía, 2005) y Aaron Ciechanover (Química, 2004). A ellos se sumarán, entre otros, Richard Roberts (EEUU, Medicina, 1993), Harold Kroto (Inglaterra, Química, 1996), Sidney Altman (Canadá, Química, 1989), Steven Chu (EEUU, Física, 1997) y Zhores Alferov (Rusia, Física, 2000).
Participarán en la Conferencia Mundial sobre Ciencia, junto a más de 400 jóvenes científicos de 70 países.
Durante la Conferencia, que es abierta al público, se podrá escuchar a los más importantes investigadores de distintas nacionalidades y culturas, exponiendo y debatiendo sobre las ciencias.
Esta Conferencia mundial es una iniciativa del Prof. Roger Kornberg, de la UHJ -Premio Nobel de Química 2006-, en colaboración con la Universidad Hebrea y los ministerios de Ciencia y Tecnología y Asuntos Exteriores de Israel.
