Alto clérigo iraní pide el fin de las hostilidades con Israel

Un antiguo clérigo iraní habló con los medios israelíes por primera vez desde Teherán. Pidió el fin de las hostilidades entre los dos países y dijo que las frecuentes conversaciones de Irán sobre su intención de destruir a Israel son «serias».

En una entrevista sin precedentes, el ayatolá Abdol-Hamid Masoumi-Tehrani, una figura actual de la oposición cuyo título de «ayatolá» fue revocado por Teherán debido a desacuerdos con el régimen, dijo al canal 12 de Israel que no tiene «ningún problema» con el Estado Judío.

«Es hora de que el régimen iraní deje de inventar enemigos que no existen», afirmó. «Los iraníes y los judíos tienen muchos años de amistad. No conocí a ningún iraní que tenga una opinión negativa de Israel».

El ex religioso confesó que su deseo desde hace mucho tiempo es viajar a Jerusalén y «rezar en el Muro Occidental».

Tehrani agregó que desde la década de 1980, el líder supremo de Irán, Ali Khamenei, trata de «arruinar» el país. Y afirma que la República Islámica es una «dictadura que sofoca las opiniones disidentes y la libertad de expresión».

«Con la ayuda de Dios, si sigo con vida, me gustaría ver el día en que terminará la hostilidad ilógica entre Irán e Israel», concluyó el clérigo iraní.
