Los cuatro equipos israelíes que competirán en torneos europeos

Ya se conocen a los cuatro equipos israelíes que participarán en los próximos torneos europeos tras los resultados obtenidos en el campeonato local.

Tras consagrarse campeón de la Ligat Ha´al, la Primera División de Israel, Maccabi Haifa representará al fútbol israelí en la UEFA Champions League 2021-22, el torneo de clubes más importante del mundo a nivel Europa que en las próximas semanas iniciará sus instancias eliminatorias

La UEFA sorteó las llaves de la primera fase clasificatoria y el equipo de Haifa ya conoce a su rival: el FC Kairat de Kazajistán. El partido de ida se jugará el 6 o 7 de julio en Israel, mientras que la revancha se disputará una semana después alternando la localía.

El ganador de la llave avanzará a la segunda fase clasificatoria y se enfrentará al Estrella Roja de Serbia a finales de julio, también ida y vuelta. Bajo la misma modalidad, la tercera fase está programada para las primeras semanas de agosto y la ronda de playoffs, último escalón antes de la fase de grupos con las grandes estrellas del continente, se jugará a finales de agosto.

En caso de derrota, Maccabi Haifa jugará la Liga Europa Conferencia, un torneo de segundo orden de jerarquía. La UEFA implementó este a campeonato a partir de esta temporada. En ese caso el rival sería el perdedor de la serie entre el Dinamo Tbilisi de Georgia y el Neftchi Baku de Azerbaiyán.

Otros tres clubes de Israel también jugarán la nueva Liga Europa Conferencia y este martes conocieron a sus primeros rivales. Hapoel Beer Sheva se enfrentará al Arda de Bulgaria, Ashdod ante el Qarabag de Azerbaiyán y Maccabi Tel Aviv ante el ganador del Gagra de Georgia y el Sutjeska de Montenegro.

Estas series se jugarán a finales de julio. Superadas otras dos instancias clasificatorias, en septiembre comenzará la fase de grupos del certamen. ¿Hasta dónde llegarán los equipos israelíes en los campeonatos europeos?
