Esta asociación ha dado lugar a varias costumbres y prácticas bien conocidas en Lag Baomer, incluyendo el encendido de hogueras peregrinaciones a la tumba de Bar Yochai en la ciudad norteña israelí de Meron. Además de diversas costumbres en la propia tumba.
