«La simpatía con Israel tras los ataques de Hamás están cambiando de forma rápida después de los daños humanitarios en Gaza,y es importante que lo entiendan los responsables políticos en Israel», sentenció Hammond en una rueda de prensa en El Cairo en conjunto con su homólogo egipcio. Además agregó que occidente está impactado por los numerosos civiles muertos y que siente dolor por el deterioro de la situación humanitaria en la Franja de Gaza.
