Unión Europea: Hamas debe permanecer en el listado de organizaciones terroristas

La canciller de la Unión Europea, Federica Mogherini, se refirió a la decisión del Tribunal de la Unión Europea de anular la  inclusión de Hamas en el listado de organizaciones terroristas del organismo europeo,  donde fue incorporado en el año 2001 y dijo: “La organización Hamas debe permanecer en el listado de organizaciones terroristas”.

Los dichos fueron expresados por la Canciller europea al Rabi Mencahem Margolin, Director de Asociaciones Judías de la Unión Europea,  en el evento por la Festividad de Hanukah en la Representación Europea. Mogherini destacó que sería preferible que, la organización Hamas, permanezca en el listado de organizaciones terroristas de la Unión e, incluso, solicitó a los responsables de la Unión la apelación de la decisión. Mogherini dijo, también, que – a pesar de no poder hacer nada al respecto, debido a tratarse de una decisión legal y no política-  entiende la sensibilidad y la gran importancia del tema, por lo que pidió expresar su clara posición.

Al mismo tiempo, el Ministerio del Exterior francés, transmitió: “Francia avanzará para que Hamas vuelva, cuanto antes,  al listado de organizaciones terroristas. La anulación se basa solo en motivos  procedimentales. En ningún caso, por esta forma,  cabe objetar la firmeza de la Unión Europea para luchar contra el terrorismo en todas sus formas ni,  tampoco,  cabe cambiar su evaluación con respecto a la esencia: Hamas fue definido como organización terrorista y así debe ser considerada”.
La decisión adoptada ayer por el Tribunal Supremo de la Unión Europea, excluye a Hamas del listado de organizaciones terroristas. Se trata de una decisión temporaria, por un período  de tres meses o hasta la presentación de la apelación. El Tribunal expresó que, los documentos exhibidos, no estaban basados en una revisión de los actos de Hamas.

El Tribunal Europeo, localizado en Luxemburgo, tiene prevista la adopción de una decisión cómoda para Hamas que exige a los estados de Europa otras pruebas más sobre que Hamas es una organización terrorista. 27 miembros de la Unión, ingresaron, hace algunos años,  a Hamas al listado de organizaciones terroristas. Sin embargo, se presentaron apelaciones al Tribunal sobre el tema, aún antes de la Operación Margen Protector, con el argumento que las pruebas que lo demuestran no son contundentes y se basan en testimonios de la televisión y de internet y no en documentos oficiales.
