Paralela a la situación de angustia, los trabajadores árabes y judíos, incluyendo los que son bomberos o policías, reforzaron sus lazos de solidaridad y apoyo.
En el sur del país, los ciudadanos beduinos, especialmente aquellos que trabajan en lugares tales como policía, bomberos y Maguén David Adom, manifiestan su solidaridad: «Estoy preocupado por la situación, pero en mi lugar de trabajo me siento más seguro», dice Reshef Naif Alziadneh (44), un beduino que se desempeña como oficial en las investigaciones de los incendios en todo el Néguev. Crisis en la construcción: los árabes no se presentaron a trabajar

La Asociación de Contratistas de la construcción de viviendas informó que la mayoría de los palestinos que trabajan en las obras de construcción evita venir al trabajo estos días. La razón, argumentan, es la preocupación por parte de los clientes israelíes.
A principios de esta semana, estaban ausentes del trabajo el 80% de los 37.000 trabajadores palestinos en la industria. Fuentes del mercado afirman que la cifra es significativamente exagerada, pero confirmaron que el fenómeno existe.
Una fuente advierte de que la situación es volátil: «Hasta ahora no hemos recibido quejas en especial y no anticipamos un problema catastrófico en términos de la construcción de los apartamentos, pero la situación podría cambiar.
Hasta ahora la situación de tensión era tolerable, siempre y cuando el Estado no cierre las fronteras, pero cuando empieza a hablar sobre el cierre, como ahora, provoca que los trabajadores no vengan. Ello es debido a la confusión y la falta de áreas de información, y por otro, debido a que el ejército endureció las condiciones y disminuye significativamente el número de llegadas de palestinos».
