El disco de tangos «La media cuadra inmortal» que se presentará el próximo miércoles 11 de noviembre en el Teatro Cervantes y que cuenta con auspicio de la Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) fue compuesto por la cantante y autora, Débora Simcovich que dialogó en exclusiva con la CADENA JUDÍA DE INFORMACIÓN VIS A VIS acerca de por qué Villa Crespo fue su inspiración para crear este repertorio de 12 canciones.
– Teniendo en cuenta que en el mundo de la música incursionaste cantando en hebreo, yiddish y en bandas de música Klezmer ¿Qué te motivo a sumarte a la Orquesta Victoria?
– La orquesta se interesó en mis tangos por ser composiciones que reflejan la mirada de la mujer, tanto en música como en letra. La voz narradora en primera persona, en el relato musical y autoral, es el de una mujer. Mis tangos no hablan SOBRE ella, sino que ELLA es la que habla.
La orquesta sintió que en estas obras había un aporte de frescura y originalidad que abría un espacio en la creación tanguera que concordaba con su visión, la que ansiaba una luz renovadora en el repertorio.
Mis inicios de formación musical dentro de los diversos ámbitos de la colectividad judía me otorgaron la alegría por la música y el canto como fuertes elementos de cohesión, al abrigo de la hermandad con los otros, un sentimiento de libertad que me da vuelo y calor que me lleva a un plano donde todo es posible.
– ¿Cuántos de tus conocimientos musicales anteriores te sirvieron para componer el disco «La Media Cuadra Inmortal»?
– Todos. Toda mi vida, todo lo estudiado, sentido, imaginado, visto y adquirido esta en todo lo que creo, en cada paso que doy.
– ¿Por qué te inspiraste en Villa Crespo? y ¿Qué recuerdos de tu infancia aplicaste en el disco?
– Villa Crespo fue mi cuna, desde el umbral de mi casa de araoz veía pasar un mundo fascinante que desplegaba ante mis ojos su gloriosa gama de colores, voces, matices y sonidos, los que resonaban como arpegios musicales. La diversidad lingüística, dentro y fuera de mi hogar, fue mi primera escuela musical. Nací multilingüe, escuchando los distintos tonos, timbres e inflexiones de todas lenguas a mi alrededor, como un regalo del cielo, que a mi vez reproducía en incesante replica oral. Era una niña muy locuaz y musical, desde que me acuerdo.
– ¿Las canciones que compusiste son de tango exclusivamente o hay una influencia de música judía?
– La influencia de la música judía esta muy presente, en las escalas menores en ciertos tangos míos, por ejemplo, y en otros casos, en las letras, como en «La media cuadra inmortal» hay un contra canto en idish. Pero yo no considero el tango, per se, como un género no judío, dada la cantidad de autores, compositores, músicos, cantantes y profesionales judíos que han hecho y hacen una realidad el tango, sino que lo veo como un genero mas a través del cual nos expresamos, como el jazz , la música clásica y otras expresiones musicales de las que los judíos somos parte integrante.
También en la temática de mis tangos, como en «El mundo» , hay una referencia a una historia muy judía que es el exilio y la diáspora.
