Un alto general iraní reveló que la República Islámica erigió una fábrica de misiles en Siria, y que luego transfirió esa tecnología al grupo terrorista islámico chií libanés Hezbollah, para ser usada en la guerra de 2006 contra Israel.
“Irán estableció una industria de misiles para Siria en Alepo en los años pasados y produjo misiles que fueron usados durante la guerra de 33 días contra Israel”, manifestó el jefe del Estado Mayor de las Fuerzas Armadas iraníes, general Mohammed Hossein Bagher, según lo cita la agencia semioficial de noticias iraní Fars.
El conflicto en 2006 comenzó cuando Hezbollah asesinó, en una incursión transfronteriza, a cinco soldados israelíes y secuestró los cuerpos de dos de ellos –Ehud Goldwasser y Eldad Regev- desatando el sangriento conflicto.
Durante la Segunda Guerra del Líbano murieron 43 civiles israelíes y 119 soldados del Ejército de Defensa de Israel. Más de 1.700 libaneses murieron, esta cifra incluye a entre 600 y 800 miembros Hezbollah, que según las estimaciones, fueron abatidos.
Durante la guerra de 34 días, Hezbollah lanzó cuatro mil cohetes sobre Israel, a un promedio de más de cien por día reveló Aurora.
Israel estima que Hezbollah tiene actualmente alrededor de cien mil misiles y cohetes apuntando hacia el Estado judío, violando la resolución de la ONU que dio por finalizado el conflicto de 2006. Israel viene denunciando desde hace tiempo que Irán suministra armamentos a Hezbollah.
