La carrera política para las próximas elecciones de la Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas (DAIA), que se realizarán en el mes de noviembre, ya comenzó. Por el lado oficialista la re-candidatura de Ariel Cohen Sabban es casi un hecho, según comentarios «en off» de algunos dirigentes cercanos al presidente, aunque todavía no fue expresado públicamente. Del otro lado de la vereda, el sector opositor: Jorge Knoblovits y Jorge Kirszenbaum, junto con un grupo de dirigentes, están comenzando a tener encuentros para generar una alternativa sólida que les permita generar una «DAIA brillante para gente brillante» y poder llevar adelante los proyectos que tienen en mente, algunos de los cuales deslizaron en exclusiva con la Cadena Judía de Información Vis a Vis.
Los dos dirigentes, Jorge Knoblovits, ex secretario general de DAIA y dirigente del Club Naútico Hacoaj, y Jorge Kirszenbaum, ex presidente de la DAIA, mantuvieron una charla que fue casi como un partido de tenis: un peloteo constante, de definiciones, ideas y aspiraciones que «buscan concretar en equipo», una frase que estuvo muy presente en las distintas respuestas que brindaron.
Como dos personas que se conocen hace ya mucho tiempo, solo un par de miradas y gestos son suficientes para que dé inicio a una entrevista en la que remarcaron que son «amigos desde hace mucho años» y que tienen una «opinión análoga con respecto a los problemas comunitarios» y además tienen definido «cuáles serían los caminos para encarar esos problemas».
Para encarar «estos problemas», Knoblovits aseveró: «En los temas que no acordamos, como en el caso jurídico o político, lo hemos dirimido. Nos parece interesante reflejar esto en la DAIA: generar un equipo de personas donde todas podamos opinar distinto, que no sea una DAIA homogénea, nutrida de las mejores mentes en cada área: en lo jurídico, que hasta ahora no ha funcionado, en lo político y en lo social. Queremos fijar un planeamiento estratégico para la representación política de la comunidad judía que todavía no hemos tenido, me hago cargo de mi parte, porque nosotros hemos vivido bajo fuego durante la gestión del Gobierno anterior (NdelR: el entrevistado hace referencia a la gestión de Julio Schlosser frente a la DAIA durante el gobierno de Cristina Kirchner). Ahora podemos realizar un camino para plantear, como decía Jorge, una comunidad brillante para gente brillante. Buscamos una DAIA para el siglo XXI».
Con relación a los puntos centrales de la agrupación que están generado para competir en las elecciones, Kirszenbaum comentó: «La DAIA necesita recobrar el prestigio que tuvo; para eso necesitamos incorporar gente de altísimo vuelo político, intelectual, en lo profesional y en un pensamiento crítico que sume y aporte. Queremos que la comunidad judía, de todos los niveles, se sienta representada en nuestra querida organización».
Entre los proyectos que tienen en mente encarar, en caso de lograr una victoria, uno es crear un «Consejo Directivo de diversidad», y un Consejo Consultivo, que incorpore a la «DAIA del futuro» junto con dirigentes de experiencia que han pasado por la institución a lo largo de estos años. El ex secretario general hizo mención a la representación política de la comunidad judía que están imaginando generar: «Como dijo Jorge en alguna reunión que mantuvimos con el equipo, si vos preguntás ‘¿cuál es nuestro punto de sustento para un programa?’, está en el Estatuto de la DAIA: nosotros podemos desarrollar programas, pero el Estatuto es tan claro, transparente, tan inteligente y se sabe cuál es la misión. Lo único que tenemos que hacer es incorporar todas las representaciones de la comunidad judía Argentina: socio-deportivas, colegios, comunidades ortodoxas, comunidades conservadoras, partidos político, etc. Tenemos la posibilidad de trabajar con gente como nosotros que tiene experiencia en esta institución».
Durante la charla subrayaron que hace algunos años la institución se «ha desprestigiado a lo largo del tiempo, sobre todo, de la comunidad para adentro, y en los últimos años, de la comunidad para afuera». Uno de los temas que también dialogaron los protagonistas fue la reunión que mantuvo el presidente de la DAIA, Ariel Cohen Sabban, con el vicecanciller de Polonia: «No podés sentarte a dialogar con los negacionistas», remarcaron ambos en disidencia con la postura adoptada por la DAIA tras la decisión del Parlamento polaco de promulgar una ley que promueve un revisionismo histórico de la postura de Polonia durante el Holocausto.
En relación con las diversas causas del atentado a la AMIA que lleva adelante la DAIA, Knoblovits señaló: «Tenemos caminos erráticos y diferencias con el otro querellante, la AMIA. Creo que han faltado criterios de convivencia con muchos estamentos de la comunidad judía Argentina y de otras organizaciones centrales y, por supuesto, para afuera de la DAIA».
