Uno de los clubes mas populares de España, el Atlético Madrid abrirá una sede de su academia de fútbol en el sur del país con el actual campeón de la liga, Hapoel Beer Sheva F.C., anunciaron los dos clubes en una rueda de prensa en la ciudad de Beer Sheva, donde se establecerá la futura escuela futbolística.
A la presentación del acuerdo, cuyo contenido fue difundido por el club israelí, asistieron el consejero delegado del club madrileño, Miguel Ángel Gil, así como el empresario israelí Idán Ofer, accionista del grupo Quantum Pacific Group, que entró en el Atlético en noviembre del año pasado al comprar su 15%.
El Atlético Madrid es dirigido actualmente por el argentino Diego «Cholo» Simeone y su principal figura es Antoine Griezman, el frances que es una figura principal en la Copa Mundial Rusia 2018
Poco después de pasar a formar parte del Atlético, Ofer planteó la idea de crear “una academia para niños y jóvenes judíos y árabes aquí en Israel”, declaró en un discurso en que destacó tener la esperanza de “aprovechar la experiencia y el conocimiento de España, que tiene los mejores equipos y jugadores de fútbol del mundo”.
Por otro lado, Gil se congratuló por el acuerdo con el Hapoel Beer Sheva F.C., valoró que la academia del Atlético en España “incluye 1.500 jugadores profesionales y cualificados”, y a través de esta, “uno de los objetivos principales es impartir los valores deportivos” del equipo colchonero.
“Debemos impartir valores de modestia y competitividad. La Academia está abierta a todas las religiones, culturas y nacionalidades”, agregó Gil, que destacó, les gustaría “que uno de los niños de Beer Sheva acabe jugando en el Atlético Madrid”.
Gil y Ofer estuvieron acompañados por la presidenta del Hapoel Beer Sheva F.C., Alona Barkat, que alabó el acuerdo para crear la escuela de fútbol como “una colaboración estratégica con un equipo de lujo”.
