Un terrorista palestino intentó atropellar con su vehículo a civiles y soldados en una parada de autobuses en el cruce carretero de la Brigada Regional Shomron (Samaria) en el norte de Cisjordania. De acuerdo con el informe del portavoz de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI), el terrorista llegó desde la zona de Nablus, fue repelido a balazos y neutralizado por los combatientes que estaban protegiendo el lugar. Tres personas fueron atendidas en estado de conmoción.
No se registraron heridos entre las fuerzas israelíes.El terrorista fue evacuado al Hospital Beilinson de Petaj Tikva, en el centro de Israel, en condición moderada.
El jefe del Consejo Regional Shomron, Yossi Dagan, expresó que el intento de atropellamiento está vinculado con la “pérdida de la disuasión de seguridad por parte del Gobierno de Israel, y la falta de fondos mínimos requeridos por las FDI para garantizar la seguridad de los asentamientos, y los componentes de seguridad invitan a los ataques. Estamos luchando con toda nuestra fuerza por la seguridad de nuestros habitantes”.
