Tel Aviv celebra la Marcha del Orgullo Gay con 250 mil participantes

La vigésimo primera Marcha del Orgullo Gay se lanzó en Tel Aviv con la presencia de al menos 250 mil personas, que inundaron las calles con los colores del arco iris, música pegadiza y exuberante despliegue de afecto.

El intendente, Ron Huladi, abrió el desfile desde la avenida Ben Zion, y la muchedumbre se encaminó hacia al parque Charles Clore, junto a la playa del Mar Mediterráneo, donde los espectáculos en vivo y las fiestas seguirán se disfrutan por una multitud. El actor y comediante estadounidense Neil Patrick Harris, llegó al país para encabezar el desfile, lo que ha desatado gran entusiasmo entre sus fanáticos.

La ciudad alberga cada año el Mes del Orgullo, enarbolando las banderas del arco iris en las calles y también en el edificio de la Municipalidad. El Mes del Orgullo comenzó, este año, a celebrarse con un casamiento masivo de parejas del mismo sexo en protesta por las draconianas leyes matrimoniales en Israel.

El presidente del Centro del Orgullo en Tel Aviv, Avihu Mizan, manifestó que “este año la marcha es una fiesta masiva, pero nosotros recordamos a la gente –mujeres, trans-, que aún que sufre violencia doméstica y parejas gay que tienen que viajar al exterior para adoptar y encuentran dificultades. Hay aún un largo camino que recorrer antes que tengamos igualdad”.
