El director de B’nai B’rith para América Latina, Eduardo Kohn, el presidente de la OSA, Sergio Pikholtz, el director para América Latina del Centro Simon Wiesenthal, Dr. Ariel Gelblung, el exsecretario de Derechos Humanos y Pluralismo Cultural de la Nación, Claudio Avruj, y el diputado nacional, Waldo Wolff, hablaron sobre la confirmación por parte de la nueva administración argentina de mantener a Hezbollah dentro de la nómina de organizaciones terroristas y aseguraron que sirvió para despejar rumores y aplacar las tensiones que la situación había generado en las últimas semanas.
El anuncio del canciller Felipe Solá de mantener a Hezbollah dentro del listado de organizaciones terroristas reconocidas por Argentina fue recibido con beneplácito, al tiempo que sirvió para desarticular rumores que señalaban la posibilidad de que la nueva administración dejara sin efecto el decreto aprobado oportunamente por el gobierno de Mauricio Macri.
A través de sus redes sociales, la oficina latinoamericana del Comité Judío Estadounidense (AJC) señaló que la ratificación representa «un gran comienzo» de la nueva administración, al tiempo que añadieron: «nos complace que el gobierno de Alberto Fernández haya decidido mantener a Hezbollah en su listado de grupos terroristas; un paso importantísimo en la lucha contra el terrorismo en la región».
Ynet Español recogió además el testimonio de Eduardo Kohn, director de B’nai B’rith para América Latina, quien expresó: «el anuncio formal del canciller es una noticia que trae, por lo menos, tranquilidad en cuanto a la concepción de lo que es la lucha contra el terrorismo. Sin dudas Hezbollah es un movimiento terrorista, por más que tenga una facción que cuente con representativdad en Líbano -al cual domina desde todo punto de vista- pero, su incursión en América Latina ha sido muy grave».

Kohn añadió además que «los atentados a la Embajada de Israel y la AMIA fueron, de acuerdo a todas las investigaciones, una obra de Hezbollah. El grupo ha penetrado en América Latina a través del régimen venezolano, como así también lo ha hecho en Bolivia y Nicaragua. Es un peligro latente como todo movimiento terrorista. Que un nuevo gobierno argentino, a 48 horas de haber asumido, tome esa decisión es alentador para quienes están convencidos que no puede darse tregua en la lucha contra el terrorismo».
«Esperemos ademas, de este nuevo gobierno, otras resoluciones en el mismo tenor en temas tan graves como lo es el terrorismo, más aún considerando que Argentina ha sido víctima de los dos mayores atentados que ha tenido la región», concluyó.
Asimismo, el presidente de la Organización Sionista Argentina (OSA), Sergio Pikholtz, fue consultado al respecto, y señaló que «la palabra del canciller Solá es una buena noticia, y trae tranquilidad». A su vez, agregó que «es interesante que se entienda que la consideración de terrorista para una organización, en este caso Hezbollah, no es solo una declamación, sino que también es una herramienta para intervenir con medidas especiales de seguridad, o también en movimientos financieros que fueran sospechosos».

Por su parte, en diálogo con Ynet Español, el director para América Latina del Centro Simon Wiesenthal, Dr. Ariel Gelblung, señaló que «sencillamente hablamos de un ‘no-hecho’. ¿Porqué lo defino de ese modo? En su momento, se habló de esta posibilidad de excluir a Hezbollah por unas declaraciones que realizó una una eventual ministra al respecto. Las cosas, al fin y al cabo, siguen exactamente igual. Para nosotros, no hay duda que Hezbollah es una organización terrorista. Mantenerla como tal, es lo normal».
En tal sentido, el diputado nacional Waldo Wolff celebró «que se sostengan las políticas de señalamiento de grupos terroristas que actuaron en la Argentina». Por su parte, Claudio Avruj, exsecretario de Derechos Humanos y Pluralismo Cultural de la Nación, manfiestó que el gobierno nacional generaba «una muy buena noticia» al ratificar la determinación, al tiempo que agregó: «los argentinos sabemos lo que es el terrorismo. Dos veces fuimos víctimas de su accionar».
