Partido español pide rechazar el antisemitismo y condenar al BDS

El actor y político español Toni Cantó, diputado en el Congreso por el partido Ciudadanos, lamenta que se haya incrementado el número de incidentes antisemitas en la UE

Haciéndonse eco de un artículo pubicado en el periódico español La Razón, el síndic de Ciudadanos (Cs) en Les Corts Valencianes, Toni Cantó, ha presentado una iniciativa parlamentaria para luchar contra el antisemitismo y condenar los movimientos de boicot a Israel (BDS). En un comunicado, Cantó ha lamentado que “el número de incidentes antisemitas en los países de la Unión Europea se ha elevado” y ha asegurado que, según los expertos, “este antisionismo basado en campañas contra el Estado de Israel por su condición de comunidad judía es una forma de antisemitismo”.

Ha explicado que la Alianza Internacional para el Recuerdo del Holocausto (IHRA), que reúne a gobiernos y expertos, considera que “el mejor instrumento para luchar contra el antisemitismo actual es la Declaración de Estocolmo de 2000 porque abarca manifestaciones de odio hacia el Estado de Israel justificadas únicamente por la percepción de éste como comunidad judía”.

Un test desarrollado por Natan Sharansky,​ líder judío y actual presidente de la Agencia Judía para Israel, conocido como Test 3D del Antisemitismo, es un conjunto de criterios que tiene el objeto de distinguir la crítica legítima de Israel del antisemitismo. Las tres D corresponden a Deslegitimación [de Israel], Demonizacion [de Israel], y sometiendo a Israel a estándares Dobles; cada uno de los cuales indica el antisemitismo.​

Cantó ha afirmado que el Parlamento Europeo aprobó una resolución que pide a los Estados miembros y agencias de la UE que adopten y apliquen la definición del antisemitismo utilizada por la IHRA, “con el objetivo de respaldar a las autoridades judiciales y policiales en sus esfuerzos para detectar y enjuiciar los ataques antisemitas de manera más eficiente y eficaz”. Por ello, la iniciativa de Cs insta al Gobierno de España a adoptar y difundir la definición de antisemitismo de la Alianza Internacional para el Recuerdo del Holocausto para luchar contra esta lacra y condenar movimientos de boicot que promueven objetivos y actividad antisemitas. “Es fundamental luchar contra este tipo de discriminaciones, que dañan los valores fundamentales de la Unión Europea”, ha asegurado el líder parlamentario de Ciudadanos.
