A través de un control remoto, una pequeña palanca o bien de manera manual, se acciona un mecanismo y se abre una ranura en la parte delantera de la mascarilla, a la altura de la boca y que permite el paso de la comida.
“Se puede abrir de manera automática cuando el tenedor se acerca a la boca”, aseguró Asaf Gitelis, uno de los desarrolladores de esta patente que exhibió el producto este lunes en Tel Aviv.
Los impulsores de este proyecto estiman que en unos meses podrían comenzar a fabricar estas mascarillas en serie, y que el costo sería menos de tres dólares más caro que las mascarillas habituales en el mercado israelí.
“Me permite comer mientras la uso, creo que es una herramienta imprescindible”, aseguró Ofir Hemeriri, un hombre de 32 años, tras observar esta novedad en un video demostrativo que le exhibió Reuters.
