En hebreo, JIBUK significa abrazo. Es la palabra que AMIA eligió para llamar al nuevo programa de apoyo social que lanzó para brindar una respuesta concreta a las necesidades de las personas que se han visto seriamente afectadas por la caída de sus ingresos a partir de la crisis generada por la pandemia.
La iniciativa, que cuenta con el apoyo del Joint Distribution Committee, será implementada por el Departamento de Programas Sociales de la institución, área que monitorea de modo permanente el impacto social como una de las consecuencias de la emergencia sanitaria, y acompaña a la población más vulnerable con acciones concretas de asistencia y contención.
La cobertura que se brindará se enmarca en el conjunto de respuestas coordinadas que AMIA, la Fundación Tzedaká y la Fundación Jabad están brindando para aliviar la crisis social. Como se sabe, las tres organizaciones que nuclean los programas de atención social más relevantes de la comunidad están trabajando juntas para asignar más eficientemente las prestaciones económicas, de alimentación, salud y vivienda a la población más necesitada.
El programa JIBUK de AMIA está dirigido a la población económicamente activa, autónomos, monotributistas o trabajadores informales que debieron interrumpir el desarrollo de sus actividades, o trabajadores formales con haberes reducidos o suspendidos. “En este contexto tan complejo, consideramos fundamental brindar una cobertura social transitoria para el segmento de la población comunitaria perjudicado por la disminución abrupta de sus ingresos”, detalló Fanny Kohon, directora de Programas Sociales de AMIA.
“Por medio de una transferencia de ingresos, la cobertura que se brindará contribuirá a resguardar las necesidades básicas vinculadas con alimentación, vivienda y salud, y estabilizar la situación socioeconómica de las personas, mientras logran reactivar su actividad o generar nuevas fuentes de ingresos”, agregó.
JIBUK también incluye contención profesional y orientación laboral para una posible reconversión en el mercado de trabajo. Los acuerdos de asistencia se establecerán por tres meses, y podrán ser renovados previa reevaluación por parte del equipo profesional de AMIA.
“Minimizar el impacto social generado por la situación de aislamiento es el objetivo prioritario de la labor social que estamos realizando. Hoy más que nunca, las prestaciones y servicios que brindamos están enfocados en garantizar las necesidades básicas y mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas más perjudicadas por la situación que originó la emergencia sanitaria”; concluyó Fanny Kohon.
