A pocos días de cumplirse un nuevo aniversario del atentado a la AMIA, la Cámara Federal insiste en la pista de la organización Hezbollah. La solicitud tiene el fín de investigar al grupo terrorista como autor del atentado. Además reclama al organismo pertinente de las Naciones Unidas arbitrar las sanciones correspondientes a Irán para que entregue a los prófugos de la justicia argentina.
En una resolución que tiene por fecha el 25 de junio del corriente año, y con las firmas de los jueces Mariano Llorens y Martín Irurzun, además de la secretaria, Ivana Quinteros, la Cámara Federal decidió conceder la prórroga solicitada por la instrucción del caso, a cargo del fiscal de la UFI AMIA, Sebastián Basso; pero además hizo una serie de consideraciones relevantes sobre el proceso para juzgar a los responsables del atentado ocurrido el 18 de julio de 1994.

En ese sentido, la resolución, ante el pedido del defensor oficial de que se declare extinguida la acción penal “por violación a la garantía del plazo razonable” para ser juzgados. La Cámara cita una serie de resoluciones precedentes que ameritan no se haga lugar al pedido de extinguir la acción penal y sobreseer a los acusados. También subraya nuevamente el carácter de “delito de lesa humanidad –como tal imprescriptible–“.
Más adelante, el fallo de cámara reitera la necesidad de insistir en todas las diligencias procesales para alcanzar la verdad del hecho.
Se señala la participación de Samuel Salman El Reda, quien es “sindicado como el coordinador de la fase final del operativo que concluyó en el atentado”. Reitera que en tanto El Reda carece de la condición de funcionario de la República de Irán. Al estar confirmada su presencia y estadìa en la República del Líbano, “resultaría indispensable la activación de los mecanismos del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU a fin de que mediante la utilización de sanciones progresivas obligue a ese país del Medio Oriente a la extradición o juzgamiento del nombrado”.
