Se expresó sobre su presente en Israel, el crecimiento de la liga de ese país y la experiencia de jugar allí. Fuera del fútbol, comentó cómo fue su 2020, un año difícil a nivel mundial.

En la actualidad, Israel es uno de los países que más habitantes vacunó. Y Strahman es uno de ellos. Mundialmente se ha elogiado el proceso de vacunación llevado a cabo por las autoridades israelíes y a eso también se refirió.

Ante la información de que Israel no vacuna a los extranjeros, Eial lo negó rotundamente contando que todo aquel que desea ser vacunado, puede recibir la vacuna.

Por otra parte, dio su opinión de por qué los palestinos no acuerdan la paz con Israel, tal como sucedió con muchos países árabes.

Juan Cruz Komar, actual futbolista de Talleres, manifestó hace un tiempo atrás que «Israel es un estado de índole fascista que sostiene un apartheid contra el pueblo palestino». Eial Strahman, quien también jugó en esa institución, le contestó.

A su vez, opinó sobre las próximas elecciones en Israel y contó cómo está el clima político en dicho país. Y por último, le dejó un mensaje a toda la comunidad judía en Argentina.

  • ¿Cómo es tu presente futbolístico en Israel?

Es lindo. Estoy queriendo disfrutar del fútbol y empezar a verlo de otra forma, tratando de dejar de lado las presiones de la alta competencia. Pensando también en empezar a construir un futuro por fuera de la cancha. Sé que no tengo 36 años todavía y tengo tiempo, pero no quiero llegar a esa edad sin ideas de qué hacer a continuación y para eso hay que prepararse.

  • ¿Creció la liga israelí en los últimos años? ¿Qué cambios notás?

Sí, es una liga más competitiva que se va acostumbrando a formar parte de las competencias europeas, si bien todavía sigue teniendo mucho por mejorar. Creo que el cambio más grande ha sido a nivel estructural y en infraestructura. Hay muchos mejores estadios, los clubes están más profesionalizados y cuentan con más recursos.

  • Si un argentino quiere ir a probar experiencia en la liga de Israel, ¿se lo recomendás? ¿Qué beneficios a nivel deportivo, económico y social podría tener?

Lo recomiendo para jugadores que busquen un fútbol más tranquilo. Sin la presión diaria que se vive en Argentina o en otros países, pero que quieran seguir jugando en un nivel competitivo. Es un fútbol en el cual se puede crecer económicamente y que últimamente se convirtió en vidriera para algunos países europeos y asiáticos.

  • ¿Te gustaría seguir mucho tiempo en Israel o tenés pensado volver a la Argentina?

Mi idea es quedarme a vivir en Israel, es la razón principal por la que decidí venir a jugar acá. Para empezar a construir un futuro por fuera del rol de jugador.

  • El 2020 fue un año difícil a nivel mundial. ¿Cómo te trató a vos?

Fue un año muy complicado. El torneo y los entrenamientos se suspendieron dos veces y tardamos unos 40 días en retomar. Por lo que mantener el estado físico fue todo un desafío. Además, siempre con la incertidumbre de si el torneo se reanudaba o se suspendía definitivamente, lo cual iba a desembocar en la terminación de los contratos.

  • Hace unos días publicaste en tu Twitter una foto vacunándote. ¿Ya te aplicaron las dos dosis de Pfizer? ¿Cuándo te aplicaste cada una?

Hay unos 20 días entre la primera y la segunda dosis, por lo que yo solo me apliqué la primera y en dos semanas tengo que ir a por la segunda.

  • ¿Cómo es el proceso para vacunarse? ¿Funciona correctamente?

El proceso fue realmente muy fácil. Todo se hizo a través de las obras sociales y fueron abriendo los turnos por edades, aunque una vez vacunada la población de riesgo y personal esencial fue todo muy rápido. De hecho, yo me presenté en un centro sin turno y en unos 20 minutos ya había terminado.

  • En cuanto a la campaña de vacunación, Israel es uno de los países que más habitantes vacunó. Aún así, hay quiénes se niegan a vacunarse. ¿Por qué sucede eso?

Desconfianza. Muchos quieren esperar a ver que síntomas provoca en la gente ya vacunada aunque son los menos. La mayor parte de la población se está vacunando y los resultados son positivos. Yo aliento a todos los que conozco a que se vacunen cuanto antes.

Muy probablemente en lugares de mucha concurrencia como shoppings y gimnasios se empiece a pedir comprobantes de vacunación para permitir la entrada. Es una medida más para que la gente que esté dudando, se vacune.

  • Se ha hablado que Israel no vacuna a los palestinos y a extranjeros. ¿Qué nos podes contar vos desde allá?

Totalmente falso. Israel ha vacunado a toda su población sin hacer distinciones. A su vez, sin tener obligación alguna, se ofreció a ayudar a la Autoridad Palestina (AP) con el abastecimiento de vacunas y en un principio ésta se negó. Finalmente, hace unas semanas, Israel donó unas 2000 dosis para que puedan vacunar a su personal médico y esencial en cuanto obtuvo el permiso de la AP. También vacunó a toda la población carcelaria incluyendo terroristas palestinos condenados.

La última medida que se tomó hace más de una semana dentro de Israel es la de vacunar a toda persona que se presente en los centros de vacunación sin necesidad de mostrar ninguna identificación. Por lo que todos los inmigrantes ilegales también se están vacunando. Esto habla a las claras de la intención de Israel de vacunar a todos y lo más rápido posible.

  • ¿Por qué creés que el conflicto con los palestinos no termina? ¿Qué debería pasar para que eso suceda?

Porque del lado de los dirigentes palestinos nunca hubo real intención de firmar la paz y así lo demuestra la historia con cada respuesta negativa en las negociaciones de paz. Para que esto suceda debería haber un cambio radical en las autoridades palestinas o que Israel siga el camino de establecer y normalizar relaciones con países árabes fortaleciendo su posición.

  • “Se trata de un estado de índole fascista que sostiene un apartheid contra el pueblo palestino. No se respetan muchísimos derechos humanos con respecto a ese pueblo. Si hay un líder de esos y viene al país, no voy a estar de acuerdo. Mi granito de arena es participar y mostrarme, quiero seguir acompañando la causa”. Esa frase corresponde a una declaración en 2017 de Juan Cruz Komar, actual jugador de Talleres de Córdoba, institución en la que te ha tocado jugar. Fue previo a la visita de Netanyahu a Argentina. ¿Pudiste hablar con él tras esos dichos? ¿Qué opinión te merece y por qué creés que muchas veces se dicen cosas que no son? ¿Es falta de información? ¿Es repetir lo que dicen algunos medios antiIsrael y propalestinos?

No, nunca lo hablé. Estoy dispuesto a hacerlo siempre y cuando la otra parte tenga un deseo genuino de escuchar.

Las aberraciones y mentiras que se dicen respecto al conflicto creo que provienen en muchísimos casos de la ignorancia y del consumo de información sesgada a la que, lamentablemente, la gente tiene acceso. Y por supuesto del antisemitismo.

  • En marzo hay elecciones en Israel y Benjamin Netanyahu va por un nuevo mandato. Las encuestas lo ubican como el favorito. En el medio, hay protestas y manifestaciones en su contra. ¿Cuál es el clima político en estas semanas previas a las elecciones? ¿Qué destacás y qué no te gusta del actual gobierno?

Al comienzo de la pandemia noté un clima mucho más caldeado, sobre todo respecto a las acusaciones por corrupción contra Netanyahu. Hoy está más tranquilo aunque con la proximidad de las elecciones seguramente vuelva a ser un tema central.

Soy muy nuevo en Israel como para hacer un correcto análisis del gobierno y lo que piensa la gente al respecto. Sí puedo decir que del actual gobierno destaco principalmente el manejo de la pandemia y la normalización de relaciones con países árabes, que le dan a Israel una posición de fortaleza que va a seguir creciendo.

  • ¿Algún mensaje que le quieras dejar a la comunidad judía argentina?

Simplemente el deseo de que Argentina pueda salir de esta situación lo más rápido posible, que se pueda vacunar a la población y se vaya retornando a la normalidad. Y que acá todos son bienvenidos.
