Un ciudadano israelí identificado como Yehuda Cohen fue ejecutado a tiros el sábado en la localidad de Tulum en el estado de Quintana Roo, México. Sus hermanos son el cantante Shlomo Cohen y el miembro del Ayuntamiento de Jerusalén Haim Cohen.
Según el portal local El Sureste, la ejecución tuvo lugar alrededor de las 4:00 p. m. en el departamento del occiso. Ubicado en los condominios Océano del exclusivo complejo “Aldea Zama” de Tulum, entre las calle Nakbe y Yaxchilán.
El sitio Enlace Judío indicó que las autoridades que acudieron al lugar de los hechos luego de reportes y dieron en el departamento con una mujer originaria de Venezuela de nombre Andreina de 29 años de edad, quien afirmó ser cuñada de Cohen.
La mujer detalló que abruptamente 3 sujetos ingresaron al departamento y procedieron a golpearla a ella y encerrarla en un cuarto de lavado. Fue cuando dijo haber escuchado 2 detonaciones por arma de fuego
Luego de salir y percatarse que los sujetos se habían ido, dijo ver a Cohen en un charco de sangre. La Fiscalía General de Quintana Roo anunció haber abierto ya una carpeta de investigación sobre los hechos e indicó haber lanzado un operativo para dar con los sospechosos.
Mientras que El Sureste se limitó a señalar al occiso como de nacionalidad uruguaya, el portal israelí Ynet indicó que Cohen, de 43 años, poseía la ciudadanía israelí y en el pasado sirvió en el Servicio de Seguridad General de Israel, mejor conocido como el Shin Bet o Shabak.

¿Quién fue Yehudá Cohen?
De acuerdo con Ynet, Cohen, que en los últimos años había vivido en México y laborado en el área de la seguridad, ingresó en el pasado a las filas del Shin Bet.
Fue luego de darse de baja de una unidad de combate de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel.
Ya en el Shin Bet, Cohen actuó como agente infiltrado de la llamada “unidad judía”. Era el área encargada de monitorear las actividades delincuenciales y terroristas de la extrema derecha judía de Israel.
Cohen fue pieza clave para que el Shin Bet desbaratara en el año 2002 a un grupo de terroristas judíos apodado “la clandestinidad de Bat Ayin“. Debido a que 3 de sus 4 integrantes eran de este asentamiento en Judea y Samaria (Cisjordania).
En medio de la segunda intifada, “la clandestinidad de Bat Ayin” intentó llevar a cabo un ataque terrorista con un explosivo contra una escuela de niñas palestinas en el barrio de at-Tur en Jerusalén Este.
