Raz fue parte de un grupo que ayudó a la evacuación de dos familias israelíes, en medio del asedio islamista, según reportó él mismo en su cuenta de Instagram.

“Acompañado por Yohanan Plesner y Avi Issacharoff, me dirigí al sur para unirme a cientos de valientes voluntarios ‘hermanos de armas’ que trabajaban incansablemente para ayudar a la población del sur de Israel. Nos enviaron a la ciudad bombardeada de Sderot para sacar a dos familias”, relató Raz al tiempo que compartió un breve video de la operación.
Antes de incursionar en la actuación y hacerse famoso en la serie que lo muestra como un rudo agente del Mista’arvim, una unidad especial de las FDI de lucha contra el terrorismo, Raz fue miembro de la unidad Duvdevan, dedicada a misiones especiales en Judea y Samaria, de las que el actor y productor tomó parte. Su experiencia en el terreno es absoluta.
