Agam Almog-Goldstein, de 17 años, fue secuestrada el pasado 7 de octubre en Israel por terroristas de Hamas. Tras casi dos meses en cautiverio, fue liberada en el intercambio de prisioneros del 26 de noviembre. La joven, que fue raptada junto a su madre, Chen Almog-Goldstein, y sus hermanos de 11 y 9 años, dijo que apenas llegó a Gaza temió lo peor: “Me van a violar”.
“Recuerdo nuestra entrada en la ciudad. Simplemente le dije a mi madre: me van a torturar, me van a violar”, detalló Agam a Army Radio sobre su tiempo encarcelada en la Franja de Gaza.
“Hasta ahora, no entiendo que yo estuviera allí. Parece la historia de otra persona, alguien que realmente no tuvo un momento para comprender esta situación. No sé si alguna vez lo entenderemos. Pero recuerdo que le dije a mi madre que me iban a hacer algo, y ese fue el momento en que me di cuenta de que realmente me estaban sacando de casa” afirmó.
Consultada sobre los momentos de mayor miedo, aseguró que eran por las noches, durante los bombardeos. “Con toda la dificultad que supone decirlo, lo que más miedo me daba eran los ataques aéreos cada noche. Al principio, estaba el miedo a los terroristas, que era el mayor temor”, declaró a Army Radio.
Ella, su madre y sus dos hermanos permanecieron juntos en cautiverio. Pese a que de vez en cuando se encontraban con otros secuestrados, la mayor parte del tiempo estaban solos.

“Sabíamos que no había ninguna posibilidad para Yam, pero teníamos la esperanza de que volveríamos y mi padre estaría esperándonos, que lo veríamos en una silla de ruedas. Lo que oímos en la radio nos destrozó esa esperanza”, precisó la joven.
Agam se preocupaba por lo que podría pasarles a sus hermanos pequeños si ella y su madre resultaba heridas. También tenía miedo de no llegar a cumplir 18 años.
“Me decía todo el tiempo: ‘¿qué, no voy a cumplir 18? Al menos dame hasta los 18′. Y Gal y Tal (sus hermanos), son tan jóvenes, qué vergüenza”.

Así que siempre estamos avanzando, pero pensando en los rehenes que siguen allí”, concluyó Agam.
