La contundente respuesta de Israel a la ONU sobre la ayuda humanitaria en Gaza

Luego de que la ONU publicara un tweet expresando que «la población del Norte de Gaza se enfrenta a la hambruna», Israel le respondió en forma categórica.

Esta semana se produjo un choque entre los comentarios de la ONU culpando a Israel de restringir el ingreso de ayuda humanitaria a Gaza, afirmando que podría equivaler a «crimen de guerra».

En ese sentido, la cuenta oficial de las Naciones Unidas publicó este miércoles un tweet en X, junto con un video: «La población del norte de Gaza se enfrenta a la hambruna. Las rutas terrestres siguen siendo la forma más eficaz de entregar ayuda a las personas que sufren niveles catastróficos de hambre en toda Gaza. La ONU y sus socios buscan urgentemente un acceso humanitario seguro para salvar vidas».

Israel, por su parte, a través de la cuenta oficial de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI), citó el tweet y le respondió (también adjuntando un video): «Sí, ha habido una crisis en Gaza desde que Hamás inició la guerra el 7 de octubre; es por eso que el COGAT Israel ha entregado 17.647 camiones de ayuda humanitaria y sigue contando. Es trabajo de la ONU distribuirlo, pero no lo están haciendo adecuadamente. Ayer, los organismos de la ONU sólo distribuyeron el 71% de los camiones que llegaron».

Y concluyó en la misma publicación: «ONU, estamos haciendo nuestra parte. Prueba con hacer la tuya».

Ayer, el jefe de Derechos Humanos de la ONU, Volker Turk, había dicho que las «extensas restricciones» de Israel a la ayuda a Gaza podían ser un «crimen de guerra».

Según Turk, se podría considerar que Israel utiliza el hambre como un “arma de guerra”.

“La situación de hambre, inanición y hambruna es resultado de las amplias restricciones de Israel a la entrada y distribución de ayuda humanitaria y bienes comerciales”, aseveró.

La misión diplomática de Israel en Ginebra rechazó la declaración de Turk. Afirmó que el jefe de DD.HH. de la ONU busca “una vez más culpar a Israel por la situación y absolver completamente la responsabilidad de la ONU y Hamás”.
