Durante las últimas horas murió el ciudadano israelí que sufrió un grave accidente en los faldeos del volcán Llaima en La Araucanía.
Se trata de Yonathan Yoel Goren, de 26 años, quien la tarde del jueves fue rescatado por personal del GOPE con una avanzada hipotermia y múltiples contusiones.
El joven fue trasladado vía aérea hasta el Hospital de Temuco, donde murió a causa de la gravedad de sus lesiones.
De acuerdo a lo indicado, las autoridades ya se contactaron con la familia del fallecido, y se espera que durante las próximas horas lleguen a la zona para realizar los trámites de rigor y llevar el cuerpo hasta Tel Aviv.
Una alerta S.O.S. internacional recibida en Tel Aviv desde un equipo que portaba el ciudadano Yonathan Yoel Goren, de 26 años, permitió establecer que había sufrido un accidente mientras ascendía el volcán al interior del Parque Nacional Conguillío, en la región de La Araucanía
Desde su país de origen redirigieron el llamado de auxilio a la oficina de una empresa de turismo de Pucón, lo que permitió activar el sistema de protección civil e iniciar la búsqueda.
Las labores fueron, en principio, de dos personas, movilizando a diversos equipos de emergencia, precisó la directora de la Oficina Nacional de Emergencias Araucanía, Janet Medrano.
Mientras se desarrollaba el operativo, el cabo primero del GOPE Araucanía, Mariano Orrego Leiva, cayó en la ladera del Llaima arrastrándose más de 40 metros por lo que resultó con uno de sus hombros fracturado.
Además, quedó con múltiples contusiones por lo que a bordo de un helicóptero fue derivado al Hospital Regional de Temuco, al tiempo que el resto de la patrulla logró ubicar al ciudadano extraviado, que estaba lesionado, y también derivarlo vía aérea al mismo centro asistencial.
