Amazon retiró de la venta unos adornos navideños con imágenes del campo de concentración de Auschwitz, después de una lluvia de críticas, entre ellas la del propio museo de Auschwitz.

El museo pidió a la distribuidora estadounidense que dejase de ofrecer unos adornos «irrespetuosos» con el sufrimiento de las personas que murieron en el campo.
Hasta ahora se podían adquirir en Amazon ornamentos para decorar el árbol de Navidad con imágenes de las alambradas de Auschwitz o del cartel «Arbeit macht frei» («El trabajo libera») que preside su entrada principal.
Tras conocer la macabra oferta navideña, el museo de Auschwitz publicó varias fotografías de los adornos en sus redes sociales, lo que provocó un aluvión de críticas de usuarios de todo el mundo contra Amazon.
«Vender adornos navideños con imágenes de Auschwitz no parece lo más apropiado, de hecho es bastante inquietante e irrespetuoso», publicó el museo a través de su cuenta en Twitter.
