Detienen en El Salvador a cinco iraquíes y dos sirios con pasaportes falsos israelíes

Siete personas, cinco iraquíes y dos sirios, que pretendían viajar a España con documentos israelíes alterados fueron detenidos en el aeropuerto internacional de El Salvador, informó la Fiscalía General salvadoreña.

Los siete sujetos fueron detenidos en el aeropuerto internacional Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, unos 44 kilómetros al sur de San Salvador, dijo el jefe de la Fiscalía de Zacatecoluca (centro), Roberto Rodríguez.

Los imputados fueron capturados porque los miembros de la unidad de la Policía Nacional Civil que está en el aeropuerto detectaron que sus pasaportes «tenían alteración», explicó.

La Fiscalía General confirmó que «las siete personas detenidas en (el) aeropuerto internacional son: cinco iraquíes y dos sirios».

Añadió que «entre los detenidos se encuentran tres menores de edad», aunque no precisó sus nacionalidades.

Los extranjeros están siendo procesados por el delito de «uso y tenencia de documentos falsos», agregó el fiscal Rodríguez.

Según Rodríguez, los sujetos, que iban a salir de El Salvador en un vuelo de Iberia, tenían como destino final Madrid.

Destacó que aún se están haciendo las investigaciones pertinentes para establecer desde cuándo estaban en El Salvador.
