En el Día de la Independencia del Estado de Israel, Vis á Vis dialogó en forma exclusiva con la embajadora en Argentina, Galit Ronen, quien se refirió a cómo llega el Estado Judío a este 72° aniversario, el profundo cambio de toda la humanidad debido a la pandemia por el coronavirus, el regreso de los israelíes varados en la Argentina, la participación en el evento de la Organización Sionista Argentina celebrándolo en el formato online y las relaciones con la Argentina. Además, cuando se le preguntó sobre una posible Aliá masiva después de la crisis por el COVID-19, afirmó: «La razón de ser del Estado de Israel es ser la nación de los judíos».
- Israel y los judíos de la diáspora viven este Iom Haatzmaut de manera distinta por la pandemia que estamos atravesando. ¿Cómo lo vive usted?
No solo Iom Haatzmaut es diferente. Toda nuestra vida cambió. Nos estamos acostumbrando a hacer cosas por Zoom, a hacer cosas en una forma virtual. Por ejemplo, el recuerdo del atentado contra la embajada (de Israel en Argentina) lo hicimos en una forma virtual. Tenemos que cambiar nuestra forma de hacer las cosas y también estamos haciéndolo en este Iom Haatzmaut, pero estamos celebrándolo aquí y en Israel también. Por ejemplo, tenemos un día de comida israelí para vender por Rappi, tenemos películas israelíes para ver. Si nos siguen en Twitter o en el Facebook de la embajada, ahí van a ver todo publicado.
- Cuando llegó a la Argentina y asumió como embajadora, no imaginó nunca que una tarea fundamental en un momento de su gestión iba a ser darle alojamiento y ayudar al retorno de los ciudadanos israelíes a su país. ¿Se siente satisfecha con lo realizado?
El trabajo de la embajada nunca se sabe. Estamos haciendo lo que es necesario para nuestro país y para las relaciones entre Argentina e Israel, y en este tiempo de coronavirus también tenemos que ayudar a los israelíes varados. Estamos tratando de ayudar a los argentinos varados trabajando en conjunto con la embajada de Argentina allá. Todavía quedaron aquí algunos y estamos tratando poco a poco de ayudarlos a llegar a casa.
- Se está organizando una mega fiesta online para celebrar en Argentina el 72° aniversario. La OSA convocó a principales figuras. ¿La embajada también participará del evento?
Claro. Participamos en el evento grande de la OSA, grabé un mensaje para la Organización Sionista Argentina y para toda la gente. Como digo, tenemos que cambiar nuestra forma de hacer cosas. Nosotros siempre participamos, esta vez lo hicimos en una forma virtual porque todo el evento es virtual.
- Al comienzo de la gestión del actual gobierno hubo fuertes señales de mantenimiento de la relación con Israel. ¿Sigue en contacto con las autoridades?
Estamos en contacto más que todo sobre la pandemia. En qué podemos cooperar y cómo cooperar entre Israel y Argentina, Más que nada es en el tema capacitación. Hicimos Zoom para dirigentes de alto nivel en gestiones de organizar la salud, sobre la educación por los niños, sobre cómo trabajar en forma voluntaria…hicimos varias cosas. Todas las relaciones están cambiando. Igual tenemos que hacer lo mejor para que las relaciones sigan creciendo, después de Iom Haatzmaut voy a comenzar a hacer mis citas que normalmente hago en las oficinas o en el restaurante por Zoom.
- Fuera de la pandemia, ¿cómo llega Israel a este 72° cumpleaños?
Al cumpleaños 72 llegamos muy bien. Somos más de 9 millones. Somos un país desarrollado en democracia. Estamos a punto de tener un gobierno después de casi un año que no tuvimos un gobierno. Entonces estamos llegando bien.
- Un informe surgido de Israel habla de que luego del coronavirus habrá Aliá masiva. ¿Cree que esta crisis sanitaria posibilitará eso?
No sé si la Aliá masiva será por la crisis del coronavirus, por un tema económico o por cualquier otra crisis. Siempre vemos que cuando hay crisis hay más Aliá. Pero lo importante es que todos los judíos en todo el mundo saben que Israel es su hogar, y cuando quieren pueden venir. Estamos abiertos. La razón de ser del Estado de Israel es ser la nación de los judíos.
- Más allá del deseo de superar este crítico momento que azota al mundo, ¿qué espera para lo que viene?
Yo soy una optimista y creo que esta crisis nos va ayudar a hacer cosas mejores en el futuro. Vamos a encontrar nuevas formas de trabajar juntos, nuevas formas de cooperar, nuevas formas de pensar y yo estimo que no volveremos a la misma realidad que tuvimos antes, pero ojalá que sea una realidad mejor.
