Rosh HaShaná. Cabeza del año.
Comienzo de un nuevo año.
Estamos celebrando Rosh Hashaná, pero, ¿qué es lo que celebramos exactamente?
Contamos 5783 años desde la creación del hombre y, en la lectura de la Torá de la primera mañana, leemos sobre el nacimiento de nuestro segundo patriarca, Itzjak.
Nos preguntamos entonces, si celebramos la creación del mundo, hecho que ocurrió hace 5783 años, con el nacimiento del primer hombre, de Adam: ¿Por qué motivo no leemos el relato de Bereishit, Génesis, que es el relato de la creación en este día?
Rosh HaShaná es, según nuestro calendario, el “simbólico aniversario” de la creación. Nuestros sabios han establecido este cálculo de los años y es netamente judío.

Podríamos decir entonces que el relato de la creación es universal, y como hoy celebramos un comienzo propio del pueblo judío, leemos el nacimiento de Itzjak, que fue el primer ser humano que nació en el marco de una familia judía.
Abraham su padre, fue el primer judío, pero él no nació en una familia judía, sino que tuvo que salir de la casa de su padre, siguiendo las palabras de nuestro creador: ¨Vete de tu país, de tu lugar natal, de tu casa, a la tierra que te mostraré¨, dice la Torá, “y allí tendrás que comenzar una nueva forma de vida”.
Y lo hizo, junto a su esposa Sara. Pasaron los años y nació Itzjak, con quien compartió esta nueva forma de vida.
Itzjak, en cambio, no tuvo que irse de la casa de sus padres. Poseía educación y una formación dentro de un hogar con valores judíos. No tuvo que esperar como su padre 99 años para aceptar el pacto, a través del Brit Mila. Itjzak fue el primer hombre que lo realizó a los ocho días, como nos ordena la Torá.
Rosh HaShaná es un nuevo comienzo, y al leer el nacimiento de Itzjak celebramos la renovación del tiempo…pero del tiempo judío.
En estos días hacemos nuestro Jeshvon HaNefesh, un balance del año que pasó, donde nos evaluamos como seres humanos, dentro de un marco judío.

Este periodo de Iamim Noraim, de días terribles, que van desde Rosh HaShaná hasta Iom Kipur, nos enseña lo dificultoso que es mirarnos a nosotros mismos a la luz del año transcurrido. Es un trabajo de introspección y reflexión que nos enfrenta con nuestras propias encrucijadas y dudas. No es solo el tiempo para evaluar y tomar renovadas fuerzas para comenzar un nuevo año, sino que es también el tiempo de los pedidos.
Quiera Dios que, en este nuevo año, tengamos la capacidad de tomar la distancia necesaria para poder ver con mayor claridad. Que puedan concretarse todos los intentos para encontrar una senda de paz universal, de sensibilidad, amor y engrandecimiento de lo humano en todo el mundo. Que podamos obrar con humildad. Que podamos dar lo mejor de nosotros mismos. Que nos podamos encontrar con nosotros, con el prójimo y con el Creador. Que podamos ser inscriptos, como está escrito en el Majzor: en el libro de la vida, bendición, paz y sustento. Que podamos hacer de este mundo, un mundo del cual Dios se sienta feliz de haberlo creado.
