El viceministro de Defensa de la Nación, Ángel Tello, dialogó en exclusiva con la CADENA JUDÍA DE INFORMACIÓN VIS A VIS, luego de la firma de un convenio-marco entre el Ministerio de Defensa de la Nación y el Congreso Judío Latinoamericano. El mismo tiene como objetivo brindar capacitación a los cascos azules argentinos que se encuentran en Haití y en Chipre, entre otros países, contribuyendo para mantener una paz duradera.
De acuerdo a Tello, el convenio se enmarca «fundamentalmente en lo referente a la formación en la interculturalidad. Para nosotros es muy importante que los efectivos argentinos que salgan al exterior comprendan la interculturalidad y la interreligiosidad. Los escenarios en los cuales vamos a tener que participar en un futuro son complejos, donde hay conflictos de carácter religioso muy graves a nivel mundial. Entonces, este aporte que nosotros podemos hacer es muy relevante», subrayó Tello.
Al ser consultada sobre un comentario que realizó en el encuentro, en relación a un cambio de forma para buscar una paz duradera ante los conflictos que suceden en Medio Oriente, Tello afimó que «pasamos del capítulo seis, que era el mantenimiento de la paz, al capítulo siete, que es la imposición de la paz. El capítulo seis es cuando los efectivos se hacen presente frente a dos partes que se encuentran enfrentadas y , de común acuerdo, aceptan la presencia de Naciones Unidas. Entonces ahí los cascos azules controlan que se respete el acuerdo. En el capítulo siete, los casco azules ya tienen que ir con elementos de combate, intervenir y pelear. Es mucho más delicado el capítulo siete».
