Mujeres de todo el mundo hicieron un viaje de 10 días a Israel como parte de una iniciativa copatrocinada por el gobierno.
Unas 500 madres judías de todo el mundo se unieron en Jerusalén el jueves mientras horneaban cientos de challah; un pan anudado tradicionalmente consumido en Shabat y festivales judíos para los soldados israelíes.
El evento «The Great Big Challah Bake» fue dirigido por el Ministerio de Asuntos de la Diáspora de Israel y el Proyecto del Renacimiento de Mujeres Judías (JWRP) como parte del Shabbos Project (Ver El Shabbos Project Argentina continúa rompiendo récords), una organización multi-denominacional que celebra el «poder transformador» del Shabat Judío.
Las mujeres, 400 de las cuales visitan Israel en un viaje de 10 días JWRP «Momentum» se reunieron con los participantes del pasado de Israel, para hornear más de 1000 panes y el paquete de ellos para su distribución a las tropas.
Los visitantes, procedentes de Canadá, Estados Unidos, Belarús, Rusia y Ucrania, también están de gira por Israel como parte del viaje Momentum – parando en Jerusalén, Tel Aviv y Galilea, cuenta Times of Israel, en un horario que cubre una amplia gama de temas de valores judíos a la sociedad contemporánea de Israel.
