Las Brigadas Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, el brazo armado de Hamás, acusó el miércoles a la Autoridad Palestina (AP) de proporcionar ayuda a Israel para localizar y abatir a Ahmed Yarar el pasado martes, el terrorista sospechoso de encabezar la célula terrorista que asesinó al rabino Raziel Shevach el mes pasado.
Un video publicado en el sitio web de las Brigadas afirmaba que inmediatamente después de que Shevach fuera abatido a tiros el 9 de enero en el norte de Cisjordania, Israel y la AP comenzaron a trabajar juntos para identificar a los perpetradores.
Según el video, Yarar logró evadir la captura durante una redada de las FDI el pasado 17 de enero, tal como reportaron en ese momento los medios palestinos. Durante esa operación, el primo de Yarar, que también se llama Ahmad, fue asesinado a tiros.
El grupo Hamás afirmó que a pesar de una la operación realizada por Israel y la AP, Yarar logró evadir la captura al menos dos veces. Un alto funcionario de seguridad de la AP en Ramallah negó enérgicamente las afirmaciones de Hamás, tildándolas como “invenciones” y “mentiras”.
Tras el asesinato de Yarar, varios grupos palestinos, incluido Hamás, hicieron de nuevo un llamado para detener la coordinación de seguridad entre las fuerzas de seguridad de la AP e Israel.
Los líderes políticos y voceros de Hamás hasta ahora se han abstenido de responsabilizar a la AP por el asesinato de Yarar, aunque continúan exigiendo el fin de la coordinación de seguridad con Israel.
“La coordinación de seguridad (con Israel) es un crimen contra nuestra gente y la resistencia, y un claro acto de colaboración”, dijo Ismail Radwan, alto funcionario de Hamás en la Franja de Gaza. “La coordinación de seguridad debe terminar”.
Otro alto funcionario de Hamás, Ismail Al Ashkar, dijo que su movimiento estaba convencido de que la coordinación de seguridad entre la AP e Israel había “jugado un papel importante” en el rastreo de Yarar.
Abu Mujahed, portavoz de los Comités de Resistencia Palestina, una coalición de varios grupos terroristas en la Franja de Gaza, afirmó que de no ser por la coordinación de seguridad, Israel no habría podido rastrear y matar a Yarar.
