El Consejo Central de los Judíos de Alemania expresó su condena por la marcha de neonazis con antorchas celebrada ante la tribuna donde Adolf Hitler protagonizó los congresos del partido nacionalsocialista, en Núremberg.
«Es una provocación intolerable», afirmó el presidente del Consejo, Josef Schuster, para a apremiar a continuación a las autoridades de dicha ciudad del sur de Alemania a adoptar las medidas de protección necesarias para que no se produzcan estas situaciones.
La marcha tuvo lugar el pasado sábado por la noche, momento en que según el portal de noticias bávaro Nordbayern había en el recinto dos funcionarios de civil.
Los vigilantes observaron cómo el grupo, formado por 18 personas, desfilaba con antorchas y posaba desde la llamada Tribuna Zeppelin, el lugar donde Hitler se dirigía a sus militantes en los sucesivos congresos del partido que se celebraron en esa ciudad, entre 1933 y 1938.
Sin embargo, optaron por no actuar «por razones tácticas», explicaron fuentes policiales, ya que consideraron que una intervención podía «no aportar los resultados deseados».
La Tribuna Zeppelin fue diseñada por el arquitecto Albert Speer, tomando como modelo el altar de Pergamo y con el propósito de glorificar al dictador.
El lugar no sufrió grandes daños en los bombardeos de la II Guerra Mundial y tras la capitulación del Tercer Reich los aliados dinamitaron la cruz gamada y demás símbolos nazis del monumento.
Actualmente es un lugar abierto, sin mayores medidas de seguridad, frecuentado por los turistas y visitantes locales, acompañado de lo que fue el centro de documentación y museo instalado en lo que fueron las dependencias nazis.
La marcha neonazi pasó inicialmente desapercibida en los medios alemanes, incluidos los locales, hasta que el pasado miércoles empezaron a difundirse imágenes del desfile con antorcha, a lo que siguieron las críticas por la falta de vigilancia policial en el lugar.
