Una mueca del destino no impidió que Ariel Erlij, el empresario judío argentino, fanático de Rosario Central perdiera la vida en el atentado de ayer en Manhattan.
El sábado pasado, por la tarde, el grupo de ocho viajeros se reunió en el Aeropuerto Rosario Islas Malvinas para emprender el vuelo a Nueva York con escala en San Pablo. Se sacaron varias fotos pero uno de los amigos no subió al avión: era Ariel Erlij, el conocido empresario rosarino dedicado a la siderurgia, quien se había hecho cargo de los gastos de dos de sus compañeros. Sin embargo, Erlij no podía viajar todavía por motivos personales, pero fue a despedir al grupo que despegó en el avión de las 16 y recién tomó un vuelo privado al día siguiente, el domingo, hacia Nueva York.
Erlij, un empresario de esa ciudad, les había pagado el viaje a dos de sus ex compañeros, que por razones personales no podían cargar con los costos del pasaje en esta fecha.
