Testimonios imprescindibles, Por Dr. José Milmaniene

El creciente número de libros escritos por sobrevivientes de la Shoá durante los últimos años, configura un proceso notable de transmisión testimonial, que nos permite tomar contacto narrativo con  los traumas padecidos por los sobrevivientes  del mayor colapso ético de la humanidad.

 Estos textos – escritos desde el infinito dolor de experiencias existenciales marcadas por el horror de los campos-  no sólo posibilitan  adquirir cierta dimensión de esta  época siniestra, sino que  fortalecen nuestra convicción en el valor del sagrado «deber de memoria».

Son libros   imprescindibles, que  no pretenden  colmar con palabras vacías  al silencio letal que pretendió vanamente imponer el nazismo, sino que  persiguen el  noble e irrenunciable objetivo de relatar  lo que  padecieron  los sobrevivientes  durante la Shoá.

Son escritos que atesoran la contundencia y el rigor documental  que sólo pueden ofrecernos los testigos,  y además nos legan  una enseñanza de vida esencial, a saber: todo el sacrificio de las víctimas y la muerte inútil de millones de seres inocentes habrá de sucumbir en la nada del olvido,  si no se transmite a las nuevas generaciones la conciencia  de lo que significaron  realmente los ghettos, los campos y las cámaras de gas.

 No se trata, en estos textos,  de meras elucubraciones teóricas  ni de reflexiones eruditas, ni de estadísticas, sino del relato implacable de  experiencias personales y colectivas,  que sólo adquieren algún sentido retroactivo, en el acto mismo de su transmisión a la posteridad.

Quizá sea la  escritura testimonial un modo  de reparación subjetiva tardío, que pueden obtener los sobrevivientes de la Shoá , dado que el olvido   no sólo condena a las víctimas a una segunda muerte, sino que se transforma en una forma solapada y silenciosa de complicidad con las corrientes “negacionistas”,  que siempre persiguen erosionar y desconocer  la memoria histórica.

Los libros escritos por los sobrevivientes representan  un enérgico mentís a la muerte y denuncian  -desde la eterna permanencia de las palabras  con su inherente poder redentor- , que el objetivo final del nazismo, que era liquidar sin resto alguno a todo el  pueblo judío  y a su cultura,  ha definitivamente fracasado
