Sospechan de un posible atentado para el Mundial de básquetbol

Las Fuerzas de Seguridad sospechan que están preparando un atentado para el Mundial de básquetbol en Bilbao.

Desde hace unos días, una información sobre actividades de yihadistas en España está poniendo en alerta a las Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado. Concretamente dos informaciones han hecho que se pongan en marcha los planes contraterroristas que coordinan la Guardia Civil y el Cuerpo Nacional de Policía.

El Instituto Armado ha recibido varios avisos de que en las mezquitas de El Vendrell y Cunit (Tarragona) se está adiestrando en el uso de armas cortas a integristas islámicos. Según las fuentes policiales y de la Guardia Civil consultadas por La Gaceta, se han cursado avisos a la policía autónoma vasca, la Ertzaintza, y a las Fuerzas de Seguridad con competencias en la comunidad autónoma vasca por si se estuviera preparando un atentado coincidiendo con el Mundial de Baloncesto, una de cuyas sedes es Bilbao.

Fuentes del ministerio del Interior aseguran a este diario que la hipótesis más probable es que los terroristas islámicos estén preparando un atentado indiscriminado en España, una información sobre la que se viene trabajando desde principios de verano, y que pretendan aprovechar la repercusión internacional que supone el Mundial de Baloncesto.

Se da la circunstancia de que entre los días 28 de agosto y 5 de septiembre las selecciones de baloncesto de Estados Unidos y Turquía coincidirán en la capital vizcaína en un acontecimiento mediático que tendrá repercusión internacional y que podría ser aprovechado por los integristas islámicos para cometer un atentado.
