El líder supremo iraní, el ayatolá Alí Jamenei, presentó en su cuenta de Twitter «un plan para eliminar a Israel», que él cree va a ser aceptado por la comunidad internacional.
En dicho texto responde a nueve preguntas clave sobre por qué y cómo este plan debe ser implementado en el corto plazo. En el post acusa a Israel de tratar de alcanzar sus objetivos «mediante el infanticidio, el homicidio, la violencia y el puño de hierro», y dice que «la única manera de detener los crímenes israelíes es eliminando el régimen sionista falso».
De acuerdo con el escrito, Irán presenta a la comunidad internacional «un mecanismo práctico y lógico», dirigido a la consecución de este objetivo, que no incluye una «masacre» de judíos en la región.
La «forma correcta» de la eliminación de Israel vendría a través de un referéndum que abarcaría a todos los pueblos originarios de Palestina, incluyendo musulmanes, cristianos y judíos «donde quiera que estén».
El objetivo del referéndum sería instaurar un Gobierno en Palestina, pero no especifica cómo se haría. Este Ejecutivo decidirá entonces si los «inmigrantes judíos» pueden permanecer en el país o, en su defecto, regresar a «su nación de origen».
Jamenei cree que el «plan justo y lógico puede ser bien entendido por la opinión pública mundial», sin embargo se adelanta al afirmar que podría existir una «poderosa confrontación y resistencia decidida y armada».
Aquellos «que están interesados en el destino de Palestina deben armar a los palestinos en Cisjordania, como se hizo en Gaza».
Respecto a posibles mediaciones de la ONU o de otros organismos internacionales, afirma que sería «inaceptable», ya que éste se trata de un acuerdo de paz «negociado». «La paz no es más que un truco para más crímenes y ocupación», dice el mensaje.
El escrito llega luego de que el presidente norteamericano, Barack Obama, le enviara una carta al líder supremo iraní. En un inusual acercamiento a Jamenei, el mandatario estadounidense escribió una misiva respecto a los combates contra el Estado Islámico (EI), un enemigo común en Siria e Irak.
Estados Unidos e Irán están cada uno engarzado en esfuerzos militares para degradar al EI, lo cual coloca esencialmente a los añejos enemigos en el mismo lado en la campaña contra los yihadistas.
Sin embargo, el Gobierno de Obama insistió reiteradamente que no está coordinando acciones militares con Irán ni lo hará, aunque funcionarios de ambos países debatieron el asunto más ampliamente.
La carta de Obama a Jamenei llegó ante el telón de fondo de la aproximación de la fecha límite del 24 de noviembre para conseguir un acuerdo nuclear entre el Grupo 5+1 e Irán.
«The Wall Street Journal», que reportó primero el envío de la carta, dijo que ésta describía un interés compartido entre Estados Unidos e Irán en combatir al EI y manifestaba que cualquier cooperación al respecto dependería grandemente en que Irán llegue al acuerdo nuclear. Sin embargo, sin negar o confirmar la existencia de la misiva, funcionarios del Gobierno dijeron que aún no hay planes de cooperar o coordinar con Irán contra los islamistas.
«Estados Unidos no cooperará militarmente con Irán en ese esfuerzo», dijo el vocero de la Casa Blanca Josh Earnest: «No compartiremos información de inteligencia con ellos».
El ministro de Exteriores israelí, Avigdor Liberman, calificó de «error» cualquier intento de acercamiento de Estados Unidos y la comunidad internacional a Irán.
Liberman insistió en que el régimen de Teherán no puede ser socio en ningún tipo de diálogo en Oriente Medio.
«Irán es inaceptable para cualquier coalición. Ni siquiera para el diálogo en la región ya sea sobre Palestina o sobre Siria», señaló el jefe de la diplomacia hebrea.
Liberman criticó, asimismo, el acercamiento entre Teherán y el Grupo 5+1 en relación con el polémico programa nuclear iraní.
«Desde nuestro punto de vista, es un error. Aunque creo que nosotros no debemos dar consejos al presidente de Estados Unidos», agregó.
