Se dijeron muchas cosas acerca de mi papá y de su vida privada, pero yo les voy a contar cómo era él y lo que significaba para mí.
Más allá de algunas diferencias, yo tenía un vínculo muy especial con mi papá. Siempre lo vi como un ejemplo a seguir por su inteligencia, valor y dedicación.
Desde chica me interesó y admiré su trabajo ya que me lo explicaba y me parecía muy importante, sobre todo la investigación por el atentado a la AMIA y, en general, sus estudios para combatir el terrorismo.
Por esto, hace unos años hice un trabajo para el colegio vinculado al terrorismo en el que especialmente analicé su fin primordial: infundir el miedo en la gente. A lo largo de este año, sentí que el asesinato de mi papá tuvo este mismo mensaje.
Al mismo tiempo, pude comprobar que aquellos valores, valentía y dedicación, que yo admiraba, estaban presentes en él. Por eso, me siento orgullosa de ser su hija, y me parece que la valentía presente en mi papá, está ausente en las personas que lo atacan sabiendo que no se puede defender.
Para Kala y para mí, nuestro papá era una persona con fuerte carácter pero con un buen sentido del humor, dispuesto a hacer lo que sea por nosotras.
Pudimos tener nuestras propias tradiciones, como almorzar juntos los domingos y jugar torneos de cartas. Estas costumbres son las que cada día extraño más, pero son las que harán que recordemos a nuestro papá de una forma feliz.
Yo creo que mi relación con él era muy especial, que teníamos un fuerte vínculo que nos unía. Por más enojos que haya tenido con él, o él conmigo, nunca pudimos estar peleados por más de unas horas; porque pasara lo que pasara, era mi papá y siempre nos íbamos a perdonar.
Siento que mi papá siempre se preocupó mucho porque a mí me vaya bien en todos los aspectos, y creo que a eso se debía su exigencia hacia mí. Le interesaba cada cosa que yo le contaba o hacía, todos los días se tomaba un tiempo para ver las fotos nuevas que yo había sacado y darme su opinión.
Espero que se pueda llegar a la verdad acerca de la muerte de mi papá, más allá del temor que ello provocó en la gente.
También deseo que su trabajo no sea olvidado y que, a partir de todo lo que él hizo e investigó, se pueda reconstruir la verdad para que los familiares de las víctimas de la AMIA que tanto sufrieron, puedan tener Justicia.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea
shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said «You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.» She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
