Los arrestos fueron realizados por las fuerzas especiales con apoyo de 200 policías federales y locales.
Alrededor de un millón de migrantes llegaron a Alemania en 2015 y los temores respecto a su presencia han aumentado tras los atentados yihadistas registrados el pasado mes de julio en el país. Tres de ellos fueron perpetrados por solicitantes de asilo y el Estado Islámico se atribuyó dos.
