Luego de la explosión en el centro comercial Andino de Bogotá que dejó un saldo de tres fallecidos y nueve heridos, las autoridades del Congreso Judío Latinoamericano (CJL), enviaron una carta al presidente colombiano manifestando su solidaridad.
«Desde el Congreso Judío Latinoamericano le expresamos nuestro más profundo pesar, y a través de su figura lo hacemos a todo el pueblo colombiano, tras el atentado perpetrado el pasado sábado 17 de junio en el centro comercial Andino de Bogotá», expresa la misiva firmada por Adrián Werthein, Saúl Gilvich y Claudio Epelman; presidente, secretario general y director ejecutivo del CJL, respectivamente.
«En nombre de las comunidades judías de la región condenamos enérgicamente el cobarde ataque, a la vez que nos solidarizamos con las familias de las víctimas directas y quienes resultaron heridos en este trágico episodio», sigue la carta.
«Aprovechamos la oportunidad para reafirmar nuestro compromiso de seguir trabajando por una sociedad segura, libre de terrorismo, tanto en nuestra región como en el resto del mundo, así como esperamos que los responsables de este ataque puedan ser encontrados y llevados ante la justicia.»
«Sepa que cuenta en el Congreso Judío Latinoamericano con un socio de Colombia en la lucha contra el terrorismo, y así como en el año 2013 como reconocimos su trabajo por la construcción de convivencia con nuestro tradicional premio Shalom, de igual manera seguiremos apoyando toda iniciativa que conduzca al diálogo.»
Y finalmente concluye: «Anhelando que su país encuentre consuelo, lo saludamos con nuestro tradicional deseo de paz, SHALOM!»
