La policía local fue llamada al cementerio judío de Whitefield en Motzoei Shabbos y encontró varios kevarim (tumbas) que habían sido atacados, con los matzeivos ( monumentos) derribados y aplastados, así como daños causados al cementerio.
Uno de los kevarim profanados fue el del Rosh Yeshivah de Manchester, Harav Yehudah Ze’ev Segal, zt ”l .
La policía local está investigando el ataque antisemita, aunque el Rabino de Jabad Shmuli Brown aclaró en un segundo tweet en su red social, que el ataque había sido de gitanos con la intención de robar
