Médicos del Hospital Hadassah Ein Kerem de Jerusalén salvaron a un bebé de 18 meses con un defecto cardíaco, cuyos padres huyeron con él de la guerra civil en Siria.
La madre del bebé, identificada sólo como L., dijo al sitio Mako que ella y su esposo sabían que su hijo estaba enfermo desde edad temprana: “Parecía pequeño para su edad y muy delgado. Sentí que algo andaba mal. Parecía estar sufriendo todo el tiempo, lloraba, estaba inquieto, especialmente cuando dormía”.
Pero luego, un médico diagnosticó el problema cardíaco congénito. El bebé fue hospitalizado ocho veces en Siria y regularmente medicado. L. luego huyó a Jordania con su esposo, pero los médicos le dijeron que no había una opción quirúrgica.

Hoy puedo decir que no hay peligro. Nos trataron y cuidaron de nosotros, gracias a Dios. Ahora veo a mi hijo y estoy feliz: los médicos lo salvaron y agradezco a todos de todo corazón”, comentó.
