Gracias al poder de algunos medios que le dieron trascendencia, a la red social twitter, la poderosa voz de Pilar Rahola, la protesta de personalidades públicas y hasta una protesta del gobierno israelí, el Carnaval en Castilla la Mancha con una comparsa desfilando y banalizando el Holocausto no seguirá. Se ha conseguido lo que parecía imposible: que la comparsa de Cuenca suspenda los desfiles que tenía previsto seguir haciendo en otros municipios castellano-manchegos, después de Campo de Criptana.
Los antisemitas tenía previsto representar el desfile nazi en pueblos como Herencia, Ciudad Real y Miguelturra. Ahora han cancelado la performance de hornos crematorios por, según la prensa local, «su marcada marcialidad fascista a ritmo de reguetón».
El escándalo ha sido tan grande que ha hecho reaccionar al Estado de Israel. A través de su embajada en España han denunciado el ignominioso desfile del Holocausto. Un Estado condenando una performance castellano-manchega con palabras como «vil, repugnante, banalización del Holocausto, burla de 6 M de judíos asesinados» y exigiendo combatir el antisemitismo. Eso tendría que hacer reaccionar al presidente de aquella comunidad.
