Sentida despedida a Jorge Kirszenbaum Z´L

En una emotiva y reducida ceremonia, este domingo se despidieron los restos de quien fuera presidente de la DAIA, Jorge Kirszenbaum, Z’L, quien falleció de manera inesperada el sábado 5 de setiembre.

En la puerta de la casa Velatoria de la AMIA en la calle Loyola 1139, un grupo de dirigentes comunitarios, rabinos y allegados acompañaron a la familia y amigos de Kirszenbaum cuando partían para el cementerio de La Tablada.

Estuvieron los presidentes de la DAIA, Jorge Knoblovits, de AMIA, Ariel Eichbaum, de OSA, Sergio Pikholtz, el Rab Samuel Levín y el Rab Eliahu Hamra, quien lo despidió en La Tablada.

También se encontraban presentes el expresidente de la DAIA, Ariel Cohen Sabbán, y los dirigentes Gabriel Gutesman, Alejandro Broitman y un gran amigo de Kirszenbaum, Benny Zugman, entre otros.

La ceremonia fue seguida por zoom por familiares, amigos y dirigentes de la comunidad.

A las 14.05 hs., el Rab Levín realizó la primera y emotiva ceremonia de despedida. «Se nos fue un gran Azkan», expresó.

Luego Knoblovits y Eichbaum también resaltaron las bondades del expresidente de DAIA, con una extensa trayectoria.

Kirszenbaum era un distinguido activista por los Derechos Humanos.  Intervino en el primer juicio oral de la aplicación de la ley de actos discriminatorios y en muchas causas análogas, como el juicio oral contra el ex Gral. Suárez Mason, donde se lo condenó a prisión por conductas antisemitas.

Fue Director del Programa Nacional de Democratización de la Cultura (PRONDEC) durante la gestión presidencial del Dr. Raúl Alfonsin.

Fue abogado defensor de Fernando de la Rúa.

Participó como consultor del Gobierno Argentino ante la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultural (UNESCO).

Además era abogado penalista y profesor universitario.
