“Anoche, combatientes de las FDI realizaron una redada para el arresto de un sospechoso en el campo de refugiados Balata en la ciudad de Nablus”, indicó el ejército en un comunicado.
A su vez, agregó: “Durante el operativo, dos soldados (israelíes) resultaron heridos ligera y moderadamente. Aparentemente, por la metralla de un artefacto explosivo que arrojaron contra ellos. A los los trasladaron a un hospital para recibir tratamiento médico”.
En julio, fuerzas de seguridad palestinas frustraron un ataque contra soldados israelíes en Judea y Samaria, según Ynet.
El incidente ocurrió varias semanas después de que el presidente de la Autoridad Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas, declarara el fin de la coordinación en materia de seguridad con Israel y Estados Unidos tras rechazar el plan de paz del presidente Donald Trump.
Según las fuentes, una célula terrorista palestina colocó decenas de bombas de tubo en una zona abierta en las afueras de Jenin. Estaban a lo largo de la ruta que suelen seguir las tropas de las FDI cuando llegan a la ciudad para arrestar a sospechosos de terrorismo.
Los oficiales no especificaron si había alguna comunicación entre los jefes de los aparatos de seguridad de la Autoridad Palestina y las FDI.
