La Autoridad Palestina dijo el viernes que rechaza el acuerdo con Israel que habría proporcionado a la AP alrededor de un millón de dosis de las vacunas contra el coronavirus de Pfizer en los próximos días porque muchas de las inoculaciones van a caducar pronto.

Israel anunció el viernes que entregará a la Autoridad Palestina alrededor de un millón de dosis de la vacuna contra el coronavirus de Pfizer.

Se había planteado que la entrega iba a ser en los próximos días.

Las primeras 100.000 dosis fueron transferidas al Ministerio de Salud palestino en Cisjordania el viernes. Así lo confirmó el Coordinador de las Actividades Gubernamentales en los Territorios.

Las inoculaciones estaban a punto de caducar, en cualquier caso, y el acuerdo estipula que un envío posterior de Pfizer a la Autoridad Palestina será redirigido a Israel a cambio, según el comunicado conjunto de la Oficina del Primer Ministro, el Ministerio de Sanidad y el Ministerio de Defensa.

El viernes, tanto el ministro de Sanidad israelí, Nitzan Horowitz, como su homólogo palestino, Mai al-Kaila, se congratularon del acuerdo.
