Canal de noticias israelí abrirá una oficina en Emiratos Árabes Unidos

i24 News, un canal de televisión de actualidad y noticias internacionales israelí, anunció que abrirá una oficina en Emiratos Árabes.

Frank Melloul, director ejecutivo de i24News, afirmó: “En el último año fuimos testigos de cambios diplomáticos regionales que permiten establecer vínculos comerciales y oportunidades de asociación”.

A su vez, añadió que “el establecimiento de nuestra oficina en Dubai ofrece una plataforma estratégica para ampliar nuestra cobertura en Oriente Medio desde el corazón del centro de la industria de los medios de comunicación de la región”

El canal israelí también anunció otros acuerdos con Emiratos Árabes. Entre ellos, intercambios de contenidos con el editor del diario en inglés Gulf News y anuncios del Ministerio de Turismo de Emiratos.

Por otra parte, la directora general de la Oficina de Medios de Comunicación del Gobierno de Dubai, Mona Al Marri, celebró el convenio.

“Doy la bienvenida al establecimiento de una cooperación entre los sectores de los medios de comunicación de EAU e Israel”, aseveró.

Por su parte, Majed Al Suwaidi, director de Dubai Media City, dijo que la incorporación de i24News “se suma a la rica diversidad global de medios de comunicación”.

Dos importantes operadores de telecomunicaciones emiratíes, Etisalat y DU, transmitirán los contenidos de i24News, que emite en árabe, inglés y francés. En diciembre, el canal con sede en Tel Aviv firmó un acuerdo con Abu Dhabi Media para compartir contenidos informativos y de archivo.

A su vez, Dubai Media Incorporated manifestó que firmó un memorando de cooperación con i24News. Incluye la creación de contenidos, la tecnología de los medios de comunicación y los programas de intercambio de empleados.

Además, el canal y Dubai Media Incorporated dijeron que conectan sus medios con una línea óptica “Fibra de Paz”, que conecta el Golfo con Israel para compartir información.
