Una revolución kosher se está llevando a cabo en el ámbito de cannabis medicinal, puesto que por primera vez se concedió una certificación de shemita a una empresa que cultiva y comercializa productos.

El concepto de shemita se introduce en la Torá, donde se nos dice que debemos dejar la tierra en barbecho cada siete años. Este concepto tiene un valor tanto espiritual como agrícola.

El certificado lo otorgó el Rabbai Efrati a Seach Medical Group, pionero del cannabis medicinal en Israel y en todo el mundo.

El mercado israelí del cannabis medicinal se considera uno de los más avanzados del mundo y su valor supera los 800 millones de NIS al año. En Israel, hay más de 100.000 pacientes con licencias válidas de cannabis medicinal que consumen una cantidad masiva de cannabis anualmente.

La certificación de kashrut para Seach Medical Group se reveló por primera vez en el informe de la empresa a la bolsa de valores.

“Esta aprobación exclusiva se dio después de los primeros preparativos y ajustes realizados por la compañía desde Elul 5741 (agosto de 2021) en las instalaciones de cultivo y los procesos de cultivo”, decía el comunicado de Seach Medical Group.
