Community Security Trust (CST), una organización de seguridad judía en Gran Bretaña, informó que en 2022 en el país disminuyeron los ataques de antisemitismo en internet, pero aumentaron los ataques fuera de línea.
La organización indicó que entre enero y junio de 2022 se registraron 786 incidentes de odio, entre los que incluyó abusos verbales, grafitis y agresiones.

Según CST hubo una caída del 43% en referencia al mismo período del 2021, donde se registró un pico de ataques antisemitas por la guerra entre Israel y Gaza.
Mark Gardner, director ejecutivo de la organización, indicó: “Sin ese conflicto o la influencia de otros factores como la pandemia, estas últimas cifras muestran que el nivel básico de odio antijudío sigue estando demasiado extendido”.
Gardner, agregó que la problemática “puede estar empeorando entre las personas más jóvenes”, informó The Jewish News.
Según el reporte, hubo un regreso al antisemitismo fuera de línea en 2022, teniendo en cuenta que, durante la pandemia, el ataque en línea fue muy utilizado.
El informe indica que cuatro de cada cinco casos de antisemitismo fue en el “mundo real”, aunque aclara que disminuyeron los incidentes en las escuelas.
CST indicó: “Los perpetradores descritos como menores tenían más probabilidades de expresar discursos politizados, conspiradores o extremistas durante el transcurso de un incidente”.
El informe reportó que “el tipo de discurso más común” de antisemitimo hace referencias al nazismo y al Holocausto acompañado por imágenes.
Además, CST escribió que no hubo casos de violencia extrema durante el período en el que trabajaron.
En referencia a las zonas, la mayoría de los incidentes fue en Londres (463), además también hay un importante caudal en Manchester, aunque hubo antisemitismo en todas casi todas llas zonas (menos ocho).

Mark Hamilton, oficial superior de la policía para delitos de odio, dijo que no le “sorprende” ver una caída en comparación al año pasado.
“Si bien el Reino Unido sigue siendo uno de los lugares más seguros del mundo para que vivan los judíos, incluso estos niveles reducidos son inaceptables”, sentenció Hamilton.
