El FSB, el servicio secreto de Rusia, publicó nuevos documentos de archivo concernientes a las circunstancias del suicidio de Adolf Hitler, y la destrucción de su cuerpo por parte de sus subordinados a fines de abril de 1945.
Lo indica Ria Novosti que precisa, entre otras cosas, que su ayudante personal narró que en esos últimos días del Führer «su equilibrio mental parecía definitivamente roto».
Todos los cómplices de Hitler, arrestados en mayo de 1945 por el contra espionaje militar soviético Smersh, fueron llevados a Moscú, en las prisiones de la entonces Unión Soviética.
Entre ellos, figuraba el ayudante personal de Hitler, Otto Gnsche, recluido en la misma celda que el ex comandante del regimiento de morteros, el coronel Arthur Schwartz, capturado en enero de 1943.
Y Gnsche contó a su compañero de celda los eventos que tuvieron lugar en el búnker en los últimos días del Tercer Reich, narraciones de las cuales Schwartz tomó nota en documentos ahora revelados.
Los últimos días de Hitler
«Hasta las 13 horas Hitler dormía, luego desayunaba y hacía llamadas telefónicas, mantenía encuentros acerca de la situación en el frente. A las 21 – 22 horas cenaba, luego reposaba hasta medianoche, mientras a las 2 de la madrugada retomaba las discusiones sobre la situación en el frente, que duraban hasta las 4 de la mañana. Luego Hitler bebía el té y trabajaba hasta las 7″, refiere Schwartz.
De acuerdo con las memorias de Gnsche, registradas por Schwartz, «en los últimos tiempos Hitler se comportaba en un modo tal que hacía pensar que su equilibrio mental estaba completamente roto, y además la noticia que no era posible romper el asedio alrededor de Berlín tuvo una gran influencia en él. El 28 de abril de 1945 Hitler se enteró de que Himmler había ofrecido la rendición a las fuerzas aliadas occidentales. El Führer lo consideró una traición y ordenó su arresto».
«Hitler dijo que en ningún caso quería ser capturado, ni vivo ni muerto, por ende quería suicidarse, pero solo pocas personas cercanas a él estaban al corriente», escribe Schwartz.
Y, según lo expresado por Gnsche, Hitler se había casado a último momento, justamente con la idea de suicidarse con ella.
Antes de que los cadáveres fueran retirados y quemados, Gnsche vio el rostro de la esposa de Hitler, no el rostro del Führer, cubierto por un velo, y sus piernas colgaban de una camilla, con las botas, las medias y los pantalones que él bien conocía.
