En esta mañana de domingo lluviosa, desafiando las inclemencias del tiempo más de 100 almas nos congregamos frente al Centro Comercial de Nordelta, en una Bicicleteada simbólica, no sólo como un simple recorrido en bicicleta, sino como un clamor colectivo, un grito ensordecedor en contra de la violencia, un cálido abrazo de solidaridad hacia el pueblo de Israel y el recuerdo de Tomer Shpiere en representación de los más de 1400 seres humanos asesinados en el brutal ataque cometido por Hamas el 7 de octubre
Cada pedaleada resonó como un símbolo de unidad, un eco profundo que proclamaba un mensaje claro: ¡apoyamos la libertad y rechazamos la intolerancia! Fue más que un evento; fue una expresión de la humanidad en su mejor forma, recordando que la bondad y la compasión son armas poderosas contra el odio.
La presencia de Mariano Chmiel, primo de Tomer, fue una llama ardiente de emoción y compromiso. Sus palabras vibraron con la tragedia, pero también con el compromiso inquebrantable de honrar a aquellos cuyas vidas fueron arrebatadas injustamente. Mariano compartió el mensaje enviado por Yoram Shpiere, padre de Tomer, en nombre de su familia, vertió gratitud por el reconocimiento y la eternización del legado de su amado hijo. ““Me siento muy emocionado de estar tan lejos y sin embargo sentirme cerca. Mi hijo Tomer fue asesinado en el sábado negro, siete de octubre 2023. Tomer fue asesinado mientras intentaba practicar ciclismo para una gran competición. Tomer andaba en bicicleta todoterreno y es considerado un ciclista muy destacado en la comunidad ciclista de Israel, gracias a su determinación y deseo de superación. Andar en bicicleta para él era lo más importante después de la familia. (Su esposa Eitan diría que la bicicleta fue su segunda esposa) Tomer era un hombre de familia. Dejó esposa, dos hijos pequeños, padres y hermanos. Junto a Tomer, otras 1.400 personas inocentes fueron asesinadas y otras 240 personas fueron secuestradas, entre ancianos, mujeres, niños y bebés. Recordaremos y no perdonaremos. En nombre de la familia quiero agradecerles por inmortalizarlo”
En esta jornada desafiante, la lluvia fue testigo de un evento que trascendió barreras climáticas y culturales. Fue la demostración innegable del poder de la comunidad y la sociedad toda, una promesa enraizada en el corazón de cada participante: ¡no olvidaremos! Unidos como humanidad, sin importar creencias, buscamos un mundo donde la paz y la tolerancia sean la norma.
